"Blossom of the Unseen"

Porcelaine

6"Wx2.5Dx 13" H

This  sculpture portrays one of my New People characters—an exposed, vulnerable, yet strong representation of womanhood. The figure, a nude woman, has her abdomen delicately opened like the petals of a flower, revealing the innermost part of her being. The soft pink and red tones symbolize both life and suffering, inviting viewers to look deeper into the unseen layers of pain that many women carry within.

This work speaks to the silent struggles women endure, often invisible to the outside world. It represents the emptiness and the internal tearing that can arise from various sources—be it physical, emotional, or mental. "Blossom of the Unseen" becomes a visual metaphor for the complex and often hidden nature of this pain, encouraging reflection on the strength required to bear it while still blooming outwardly.
